Lessons Learned

I know it's been a long time (over a year, really? Yikes!) Since I posted last but I have to tell you about this! Making it Lovely, one of my most favorite design blogs, is doing a huge giveaway! So exciting! 150,000 rewards points from American Express to redo a social space in your home.

When we have our Home Fellowship groups twice a month the kitchen is the starting place for all our friends but it never fails that we end up in the front living room to wind down before everyone goes home. (See the pics, after a rearrange this weekend, this is the space I'd like to redo along with the joined dining room that isn't pictured, it's really one big room.) As much as I love that we got a nearly new, free sofa and loveseat I've never been a fan of the shabby chic print. My style is more along the lines of the window treatments you see that my husband did. Our room needs serious color, wall accessories and some serious design inspiration.  Nicole Balch at Making it Lovely, is the perfect person to gain that inspiration from, she has amazing talent and I greatly covet her home. :-)
